Passenger Attacks Magic Driver With Knife In Guwahati For Charging Extra Fare

Guwahati: A passenger is accused of using a knife to stab the driver of a magic vehicle after the latter demanded an additional Rs 10 for taking him from Maligaon to Boragaon in Guwahati on Saturday afternoon.

The injured person identified as Abhinash Das has been rushed to a nearby hospital for better medication.

Initial reports state that the driver of the magic car and the passenger got into a violent dispute when the latter requested Rs 30 for a two-person trip from Maligaon to Boragaon.

However, the passenger told him he would only pay Rs 20 and refused to pay the whole Rs 30.

The passenger allegedly threatened the driver with terrible repercussions after learning that he had added Rs 10 to the fare for taking the previously indicated route.

Then he used a knife to stab the driver.

Locals in the vicinity afterwards caught the offender and turned him over to Jalukbari police.

Further investigations are underway.
