Panic Ensues in Tinsukia’s Jagun as Wild Elephants Roam Tea Gardens

Tinsukia’s Jagun area witnessed a worrisome turn of events as panic gripped residents following the unexpected appearance of two wild elephants from the nearby forest. The sight of the massive creatures freely traversing the tea gardens instilled a sense of alarm and anxiety among the local populace.

Despite concerted efforts by the forest department to mitigate the situation and guide the elephants back to their natural habitat, their attempts have thus far been futile. The relentless pursuit by forest officers has failed to dissuade the elephants from their exploration, leaving villagers on edge as they contend with the presence of these unpredictable giants in their midst.

“I have been observing since 6 AM today. Two elephants are roaming freely in our area. Forest officers are also trying to chase them away,” shared one concerned local, reflecting the prevailing sentiment of unease among residents.

The presence of wild elephants not only incites panic but also raises apprehensions about potential safety hazards and property damage. With the elephants moving unrestricted within the village confines, residents are urged to exercise caution and remain vigilant to mitigate any potential confrontations. Efforts to safely guide the elephants back to their natural habitat continue as authorities work to ensure the safety and well-being of both humans and wildlife in the region.
