5,000 fine for burning plastic waste in open space in Dehradun
The administration has taken strict action in Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand, to keep plastic and garbage polluting the environment. According to the Dehradun administration, a person who burnt plastic waste in an open place will be fined Rs 5,000. The district magistrate and municipal corporation have taken this drastic step. Today the district magistrate and municipal corporation are more hygienic and protect the city from air pollution after Dehradun upgraded a few places in the Swachh Sarvekshan Puraskar-2021 as compared to earlier. Open to Plastic in place, burning of garbage is prohibited. Some people violate the ban and plastic, If the garbage is burnt in the open, then such a person will be fined Rs. 5,000 as punishment. It may be noted that Dehradun was ranked 124th in the list of clean cities in the country in the Swachh Sarvekshan Award-2020. But the city secured 82nd position in the 2021 award. The district administration has become more active only after the place has been upgraded.
