BSNL Centre to take over Rs 1,070 crore worth of wealth to private sector

The Central Government, which has led to the privatisation of public sector institutions one after the other, is taking the first step in selling the assets of two nationalized telecom companies Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and City Telephone Corporation Limited (MTNL). According to the notice published on the ‘Depot’ website, the total number of two nationalized telecom companies is 1, Assets worth Rs 070 crore will be handed over to the private sector. Out of this, Bsnl has assets worth around Rs 800 crore while MTNL has Rs 270 crore. BSNL assets to be sold are located in Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Bhavnagar and Kolkata.

Similarly, MTNL has assets to sell at Wasarihil and Ashwara in Garhgaon, Mumbai. In the first phase, this sale process of BSNL and MTNL assets will be completed within the next one and a half months, news agency PTI reported. Release. The move to cash assets is part of the revival of BSNL and MTNL approved by the Central Government in 2019.
