56-year-old accuse arrested for making threat calls to Mukesh Ambani

The 56-year-old accused arrested for making threat calls to Reliance group head Mukesh Ambani has been produced before the 37th Magistrate court in Mumbai on Tuesday (August 16). He has been sent to police custody till Aug 30 by the magistrate court. Identified as Vishnu Bhowmik, the accused was brought from Dahisar to DB Marg police station in South Mumbai on August 15. Prosecution has sought 10 days custody of the accused by saying, “This call was made on the day of Independence Day so there is a motive and intention. Why did he not do it on any other day? There is a threat to Mukesh Ambani and why did he specifically call him only? So, this case is not a simple case and it is a very serious offence.” The Prosecution further added that the accused is a repeat offender and that the court should consider this point. “Further investigation is needed to find out who all are associated in this case. A detailed technical investigation is needed to be done,” said the prosecution. Replying o these, the lawyer for the accused said that the call was made to the hospital and not to the person directly. “It is being portrayed that the call was directly to the person,” said the lawyer.
