Shane Watson hospitalized After being hit in face with ball during Nets practice
Guwahati: Former Australian all-rounder Shane Watson, who is currently the assistant coach for Delhi Capitals of the Indian Premier League (IPL), was injured on Saturday while working in the nets at the Barsapara stadium and was brought to Excel Care Hospital.
Reports claim that Watson was accidently struck in the face by a cricket ball this afternoon at the Barsapara stadium during a training session.
It is still unclear whether the former Australian all-rounder will undergo any surgery or not.
Earlier on Friday afternoon, Watson spoke at a news conference alongside franchise mentor Sourav Ganguly, head coach Ricky Ponting, and others.
