Sharad Pawar resigns as chief of NCP
Guwahati: Veteran politician Sharad Pawar has resigned as leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).
This major announcement was made by Pawar on Tuesday during a press conference. His announcement was greeted by loud exclamations from the gathering.
“I am resigning from the post of the national president of NCP,” said Pawar.
The NCP Party’s co-founder is Sharad Pawar. Pawar, PA Sangma, and Tariq Anwar founded the NCP party in 1999 after being kicked out of the Indian National Congress as a result of a long-standing disagreement with Sonia Gandhi, the INC’s former president.
