JP Nadda To Hold Public Rally In South Tripura Today

Guwahati: BJP national president JP Nadda on Saturday will conduct a public gathering in South Tripura’s Shantirbazar.

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha and a number of senior party leaders welcomed Nadda when he landed at the Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport in Agartala on Friday evening.

“The public rally is being organised in the commemoration of 9 years of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA government at the Centre,” they said.

Nadda met virtually with the party’s MPs earlier on Thursday to discuss the “Maha Jan Sampark Abhiyan.” The party president voiced his displeasure with several MPs’ idleness during the meeting, which lasted around an hour.

According to reports, Nadda complained to these MPs directly, saying that many people are demonstrating a lack of interest in the party’s programmes.

Furthermore, he exhorted them to make the most of the time left and inform the populace about the welfare programmes being implemented by the Modi administration.

Notably, the BJP has chosen to organise a national ‘Maha Sampark Abhiyan’ (Grand Outreach Campaign) from May 30 to June 30 in honour of the end of the nine years that the Modi administration has been in power at the federal level.

This campaign aims to educate the general public about the successes of many welfare programmes and development initiatives launched by the Narendra Modi government.
