PM Narendra Modi Submits Nomination for Varanasi Lok Sabha Seat, Embarks on Spiritual Journey

Modi’s day commenced with a series of spiritual activities, beginning with prayers at the Dashashwamedh Ghat along the Ganges River. He then proceeded to offer prayers at the Kal Bhairav Temple, adhering to his tradition of seeking divine blessings before major events. Heightened security measures were in place around the District Magistrate’s office to ensure the nomination process was seamless.

Priest Raaman, who accompanied the Prime Minister during the Ganga puja, stated, “Today’s Ganga puja was conducted for the welfare of the nation and to wish success for PM Modi’s next term, aspiring to elevate India’s global stature.”

In the Varanasi constituency, the Congress has nominated Uttar Pradesh chief Ajay Rai, while the BSP has fielded Athar Jamal Lari. The Varanasi elections are slated for June 1, concluding the final phase of the general elections.

Later in the day, PM Modi will lead a roadshow in Varanasi at 5 PM, providing him with an opportunity to connect directly with voters.

In a recent interview with Times Now, PM Modi spoke of his profound emotional bond with Varanasi, comparing it to a relationship between a son and his mother. He described his connection with Kashi (Varanasi) as “Meri Kashi,” highlighting a deep, personal attachment that goes beyond the conventional relationship between a public representative and their constituency.
