Union Minister Kiren Rijiju Anticipates Productive 18th Lok Sabha Session

New Delhi: With the commencement of the 18th Lok Sabha session scheduled for June 24, 2024, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has expressed optimism and outlined high expectations for the newly-elected Members of Parliament (MPs). In a recent tweet, Minister Rijiju conveyed his confidence that the MPs would uphold the esteemed traditions of the Indian Parliament, elevate its prestige, and maintain the dignity of the house in serving the nation.

“The first session of the 18th Lok Sabha is commencing on June 24, 2024. I am hopeful that all the newly-elected Hon’ble Members will contribute towards preserving the rich traditions of the Indian Parliament, enhancing its prestige, and upholding the dignity of the house in service of the nation,” tweeted Minister Rijiju.

Minister Rijiju also underscored the government’s proactive approach in fostering a collaborative and constructive parliamentary environment. He stressed the significance of bipartisan cooperation and substantive discussions during parliamentary proceedings, stating, “The government eagerly looks forward to working closely with all political parties and Hon’ble Members to ensure smooth functioning of the Parliament, marked by high-quality debates and discussions.”
