Eight Indian Nationals Rescued from Scam Centre in Myanmar in Joint Operation

New Delhi, July 21, 2024 — In a successful joint operation between Indian and Myanmar authorities, eight Indian nationals were rescued from a scam centre in Hpa Lu, Myawaddy, Myanmar, on July 20. The victims have been handed over to Myanmar police and immigration authorities.

The Indian Embassy in Yangon expressed deep gratitude to the Myanmar authorities for their critical support and local assistance in the rescue mission. “We thank them for their invaluable cooperation,” stated the embassy.
