Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde Describes Meeting with Amit Shah and JP Nadda as ‘Good and Positive’

Maharashtra caretaker Chief Minister Eknath Shinde described his meeting with Union Minister Amit Shah and BJP President JP Nadda as “good and positive.” The discussion centered on the formation of the new government in Maharashtra, with Shinde indicating that another meeting would be scheduled to finalize the decision on the next Chief Minister.

Shinde, along with BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis, NCP chief Ajit Pawar, and other Mahayuti leaders, met Shah and Nadda in Delhi on Thursday. After the talks, the leaders returned to Maharashtra late at night. Shinde mentioned that a subsequent Mahayuti meeting in Mumbai would decide who will assume the role of Chief Minister.

The Mahayuti coalition, which includes the BJP, Shiv Sena, and the Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar faction), won 235 out of 288 assembly seats, with the BJP securing 132 seats on its own. Amid the speculation, there is growing discussion about Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis potentially becoming Chief Minister for a third term.
