Jaipur Fuel Station Inferno Claims Five Lives, Injures Dozens
A devastating fire erupted at a fuel station in Jaipur’s Bhankrota area on Friday morning, resulting in the tragic loss of at least five lives and leaving 24 others injured. The inferno, triggered by a collision between a truck and an LPG tanker on the Jaipur-Ajmer highway, quickly spread, engulfing the fuel station and numerous vehicles parked nearby.
Initial reports suggest that the truck was carrying a chemical substance, which likely exacerbated the intensity of the blaze. The impact of the collision was so severe that nearly 40 vehicles were completely destroyed by the fire.
Dramatic visuals from the scene showed towering flames as firefighters battled the blaze. Over 20 fire tenders were deployed to the site, and rescue operations were underway to locate and assist any potential victims. The injured were rushed to Jaipur’s Sawai Man Singh Hospital for immediate medical attention.
Jaipur District Magistrate confirmed the tragic incident, stating, “Around 40 vehicles were engulfed in flames due to the collision. Fire brigade and ambulance teams responded swiftly, and relief efforts are ongoing. The fire has been largely contained, with only a few vehicles still burning. Approximately 23 to 24 individuals have sustained injuries.”
