Arunachal’s Kahok declared country’s first border village

Arunachal Pradesh government has selected a village in Anjo district bordering India as the first border village in India. The village is located just 25 km from the Indo-China border 580 km from Itanagar. Located on the banks of the Red River Name the village Kaho. On the occasion of 75 years of independence, the Arunachal Pradesh government selected the village as the first border village in the country and sent a team of 12 officials from the Information and Public Relations Department to the village. There are 65 families in the village. In 2011, a team of 12 officials from the Information and Public Relations Department sent it to the village. There are 65 families in the village. According to the census, the rate of educated people in the village is 64.15 per cent. According to popular data, Kaho is one of the other 7 villages on the China border. The team of officials from the Information and Public Relations Department went to the village and hoisted the national flag.

It may be recalled that in 1962 the residents of the village witnessed the horror of the Chinese war. That is when they helped the Indian Army against China in various ways. This was disclosed by Deshwar Tesi, Director, Public Relations Department, Arunachal Pradesh. The Director also revealed that the people of the village are Tibetan Buddhists. Each of the eastern residents of the village participated in the country’s freedom struggle.
