Fatal road accident in Balijan in Boginadi: 4 seriously injured in two vehicle head-on collision
Four persons were seriously injured in a fatal road accident on National Highway 15 in Balijan under Boginadi police station in Lakhimpur district at 6.45 pm today in which four persons were seriously injured in a fatal road accident.
Local eyewitnesses said that a major accident occurred due to a head-on collision with a red yon car number 07 G 7246 AS coming from opposite direction with a mini truck number 22 9941 AS heading towards Gogamukh from Lakhimpur Sadar. The accident was so terrible that the Eon car was completely damaged in the collision. As a result three persons including the driver of the Yon car along with a male rider and a female rider were seriously injured. The injured were pushpa gogoi konwar (31), wife of Hemdhar Gogoi of Dhakwakhana Konwar village under Dhakwakhana subdivision police station respectively, Inajul Ali (31), son of Ofjal Ali of Lilabari Biharipatti under Baginadi police station and Sanjan Ali 32, son of Usmad Ali of Lilabari Balijan village under the same police station respectively.
On the other hand the driver of the truck was also reportedly seriously injured in the accident. The injured driver was reportedly Siranjit Hajong, son of John Hajang of Jairampur village under Gogamukh police station in Dhemaji district. On the basis of local public information, Baginadi police reached the spot and with the help of the public rescued the injured charok and sent him to Lakhimpur District Medical College for treatment.
