Will the citizenship amended law (CAA) be repealed!

Will the Citizenship Amendment Act be repealed! The issue has been discussed only after the Centre adopted and withdrew the three controversial agriculture laws. The central government passed the amended Citizenship Act in The Neosi Parliament to protest the people just like the Agriculture Act. The law was passed by the ruling BJP-led NDA government at the Centre on the strength of its majority in Parliament despite strong protests across the country over the act. The reaction to which continues today.

Addressing the nation on Friday morning, November 19, 2021, Prime Minister Narendra Modi surprisingly hit back at three controversial agriculture laws. The central government which has taken a stand on adopting all the three agricultural laws had been saying from the very first that the act was not withdrawn for any reason. It was because of this act that more than 700 farmers died.

The BJP party’s campaign that the protesting farmers were terrorists, supported by Sino-Pakistan, tried to take the entire farmers’ insurgency to another direction. Similarly, the struggle against the citizenship amended law was similarly promoted as a Pakistani, Chinese-backed movement. The BJP government, which has expressed various views on various occasions against the farmers’ revolt, finally withdrew 3 agricultural laws. Now the question is whether citizenship amendment law will be withdrawn just like the agro law is being enacted.

It is not possible to say whether the citizenship amended law will be withdrawn though there has been a renewed demand to withdraw the law. Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, the country’s leading Muslim organisation, said the government should now repeal the amended Citizenship Act (CAA). Meanwhile, BSP MP Kunwar Danish Ali has said that PM Modi should also consider repealing the amended Citizenship Act immediately.

“We welcome the announcement of the withdrawal of all the three agricultural laws,” Jamiat Chairman Maulana Arshad Madani said in a statement. We congratulate the farmers. According to him the farmers’ movement was also inspired by the movement against the Citizenship Amendment Act.

Maulana Madani said, “Our Prime Minister rightly says that the structure of our country is democratic. In such a situation, they should now also pay attention to laws relating to Muslims. Like the Agricultural Act, the CAA should also be withdrawn.

Amroha Lok Sabha member Danish Ali tweeted that “repealing all the three agricultural laws is a welcome step. I congratulate the farmers that their struggle and sacrifice have defeated the strength of the government. PM to consider immediate repeal of amended Citizenship Act
