Kamrup (M) district transport department has failed to take action against e-rickshaws plying on the streets of Guwahati city. Despite hundreds of e-rickshaws plying on the city’s highways, following the district transport policy guidelines- The department al-Karmachari of vehicle police and district transport seems to have maintained mysterious silence. Traffic police have not taken appropriate action in this regard, especially after hundreds of e-rickshaws ply ing in six miles of the city in a non-ethical manner.

According to the complaint received, pedestrians have suffered in the field of travel due to heavy traffic jams caused by e-rickshaw drivers parked in front of VIP Road and ferrying passengers.
