The death of her wife in the untold torture of her husband in Guabari under Fakiragram police station in Kokrajhar district has created a sensation. The torture of husband Abu Bakr Siddiqui to his wife Manjuwala Begum every day to find dowry reached its final leg on November 20 and Manjuwala Begum fell unconscious when she was hit with her hands and feet tied and put on her face that day. Manjuwala Begum who fainted was first taken to Fakiragram Hospital, then from Guwahati, Guwahati to Kochvihar and Kochvihar to Shiliguri for better treatment but succumbed to her tragic death while undergoing treatment on Monday i.e. November 29.

Manjubala Begum’s body, who died tragicly as a dowry, created a heated atmosphere at her home in Guwahati on Tuesday after she arrived at her residence in Fakiragram from Shiliguri. The family of the deceased and various party organisations have demanded that the trial of the case be conducted in fast track court and abu bakr siddiqui should be hanged. Epin reached the spot and said that a fakiragram police team is continuing the investigation process and said that the accused Abu Bakkar Siddiqui is currently absconding.
