Bangladesh’s Fast Trek Court verdict on death penalty for 22 students
A Bangladesh court has ruled that 22 students should be hanged simultaneously. The court has created a stir in the country as the court hears the hanging verdict of these students of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. The court has convicted 20 students in a young murder case. Among the students are leaders of the Student League, an affiliate of the ruling Party Awami League.
It may be recalled that two years ago there was unrest in Bangladesh over the murder of a student of the institute. A second year meritorious student of electric and electronics engineering named Abrar Fahad hon. 6th October 2019 The murder took place in Tobar. The whole country was reacting after the murder. It is worth mentioning that Fahadh was thrown dying in the hostel. Fahadh breathed his last on the tear of the hostel.
