Tension at Namni Sovanshiri hydroelectric plant: Assam workers injured in Arunachali attack…

The battle-bound form between Assam and Arunachali at The Namni Sovansiri Hydroelectric Project. The tension is focusing on the attack by Arunasali people on the workers of Assam. Several labourers were seriously injured in the incident following the arunachali attack.

A worker named Baba Lagasu sustained severe injuries on his hand and chest in the attack in Arunasali. Meanwhile, police in Arunachal arrested a labourer named Laxminath Perme from Letak village in Assam following the incident. The fight erupted over delay and irregularity in paying salaries to workers by patel company under NHPC.

Bini Anga, an arunasali man, thrashed Baba Lagasu with a rod and seriously injured him. This led to a heated situation at the NHP. Meanwhile construction of The Namni Sovansiri hydroelectric plant came to a standstill on Thursday due to the untoward incident. The critically injured labourer was sent to Lakhimpur for better treatment.
