People suspect that the elephant died due to high powered electric wires.
Angry people have alleged the death of the elephant due to negligence on the part of the power department.
For a long time there were wild elephants roaming in different parts of Samguri along with the dead elephant.
Another wild elephant died in a fight between herds in Kandali on Friday.
