A man arrested with drugs in Asthebari’s garemaari…

Police arrested a youth for allegedly involving drug trade including six plastic containerfilled with suspected brown sugar after chasing special sources’ palms at Garemari under Sarthebari police station in Barpeta district on Thursday evening. The arrested youth is said to be Abu Bakkar Siddique (26), son of late Rezzak Ali of Garemari village.

Majdia police station in-charge police officer Anirban Rahang jointly carried out the anti-drug operation in collaboration with Tarabari police station in-charge rajiv neog. Majdia police seized six suspected brown sugar filled plastic container, a mobile phone and Rs 5,400 in cash from Abu Bakkar Siddique who was arrested in the anti-drugs operation.

Police officer-in-charge of Sarthebari police station Gaurang Dev reached the spot and carried out the work. Police have reportedly registered a case on their own against the arrested Abu Bakkar Siddique.
