AHSEC declared results for final year examination

Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) on Monday declared the results for the final year examination 2022. It was announced online and students collected it from official site of AHSEC. The results will be available in education institutes and students can collect it from their respective schools.

156,107 students appeared in Arts stream, of which, 130,324 passed. Sadhana Devi of Kamrupa Girls’ Senior Secondary School and Cherry Gohain of Womens College Tinsukia secured top position in the art stream with 487 marks.

In Science stream, 30,915 out of 33,534 appearing students passed. Dhritiraj Bastav Kalita secured first position in Science stream with 491 marks. He appeared in the examination from Deomornoi H S School, Darrang. Alangkrita Gautam Baruah secured second position with 488 marks from Dibrugarh’s Salt Brook Academy (Senior Secondary School).

In Commerce, 151,99 students appeared and 13,264 have passed. Sagar Agarwal from Silchar secured top position in his stream with 482marks. He is a student of Vivekananda Senior Secondary School, Cachar.

Pass percentage in Science stream is 92.19% followed by Commerce 87.26% and arts with 83.48%.

Commerce topper Sagar Agarwal wants to become an actuary (a financial risk analyst) and he has planned to apply in top education institutes across country. Sagar lost his father 12 years back and his mother Veena Devi Agarwal, who is a private tutor, taught him till class VIII. Sagar said, “I wanted to make my mother proud by securing good marks but didn’t expect the top position in state.”

Arts topper Sadhana said that there was no fixed limited time she allotted herself for study. “There was no fixed time or fixed place to study for me. I studied whenever I wanted. I never neglected my studies,” she said.

Science topper Dhritiraj wants to study in the Indian Institution of Science Education and Research (IISER) for an integrated course of bachelors and masters. He said that online coaching classes helped him during lockdown.
