First legislative assembly session summoned by Nagaland Governor La Ganesan

Guwahati: The 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly’s first session has been summoned by Nagaland Governor La. Ganesan on March 20.

The new NDPP-BJP alliance Nagaland government was sworn in on March 7.

The Business Advisory Committee (BAC) will meet at noon on March 16 in the committee room of the assembly secretariat to finalise the preliminary schedule for the assembly’s first session, according to protem speaker Mhathung Yanthan, who is also the BAC chairman.

Meanwhile, the state home department announced on Wednesday that starting on March 20, new automobile passes for access to the Nagaland civic secretariat will be given during business hours. The agency issued a directive to all parties involved stating that they must obtain the new format from its SAB ‘A’ division and submit it by March 30 in order for the previous driver’s licences to remain valid.

The only vehicles for which automobile passes will be provided are those with a government registration number and any other vehicles that have been given legal authorization by the appropriate authority.
