Guwahati: GMC Chief Engineer Indrajit Bora Appeared Before Special Judge

Guwahati: Indrajit Bora, the GMC’s chief engineer who was arrested after taking a bribe from a complainant, appeared before the Special Judge on Thursday.

As per reports, he was held in legal custody during the four-day adjournment, according to sources.

The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption cell has recovered one handgun, one air gun, and 10 rounds of.22 ammunition during a search operation at the arrested Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) chief engineer Indrajit Bora’s home in Games Village in Guwahati.

The sleuths of the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption immediately seized the weapons and ammo.

The anti-corruption squad officials had earlier discovered a significant quantity of cash during a thorough investigation of Bora’s home.

Notably, the Guwahati Municipal Corporation’s (GMC) head engineer was arrested for demanding and accepting bribes.
