5 arrested for gambling in Assam
Guwahati: In yet another raid against gambling activities, Moran Police arrested five persons for their alleged involvement in gambling after a raid was conducted on Saturday night at Dhemechi village.
A total of Rs 9,030 in cash, five mobile handsets and gambling equipment were seized during the raid.
The five gamblers have been identified as Bitupan Phukan, Biswajit Gogoi, Rajiv Kalita, Abdul Hussain and Ahidur Rahman.
