Assam: Leopard killed after being hit by truck in Bongaigaon
Guwahati: A leopard died on-spot after being hit by a speeding truck in Bongaigaon of Assam on Monday.
The incident was reported at Kakaijana in National Highway No. 117 of Thakurani Para area.
As per reports, the incident occurred when the leopard was trying to cross the road and the speeding truck hit it.
Following the incident, the leopard died on spot.
Leopards and golden monkeys are known for their existence in the Kakaijana area.
Meanwhile, the forest service has cautioned those passing through the area to observe the speed limit.
