Assam: Fake Currency Notes worth Rs 2.24 Lakh Seized By BSF In Dhubri
Guwahati: Troops of Border Security Force (BSF) has seized fake Indian currency notes worth Rs. 2.24 lakhs in Dhubri district of Assam on Tuesday.
Acting on information received that the fake notes were being smuggled into the state, the BSF troopers conducted a special operation in the border area, which led to the seizure.
As per reports, the BSF seized the fake currency notes from the India-Bangladesh borders in Jhalochar area of Mankachar in Dhubri district.
Following the seizure, the BSF handed over the sized fake currency notes to Tax department in Mankachar.
