IGNOU Professor Shambhu Singh Appointed Tezpur University Vice-Chancellor

Guwahati: Shambhu Nath Singh has been named the new vice chancellor of Tezpur University in Assam on Saturday.

Reports say that Singh will succeed Dr. Vinod Kumar Jain, a former professor at Jawaharlal Nehru University who has been vice chancellor of Tezpur University since 2018.

The Indira Gandhi National Open University employed Shambhu Nath Singh as a professor.

Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu congratulated on his appointment.

He wrote, “Congratulations to Shri Shambhu Nath Singh Ji on being appointed the next Vice-Chancellor of the prestigious @TezpurUniv. My best wishes for a fruitful tenure ahead.”
