Assam: Blood-selling racket busted at DMCH

Guwahati: In a shocking incident, three people has been arrested by Dhubri Police on Sunday for illegally running a blood-selling racket on the Dhubri Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) campus.

The three arrestees have been identified as Mehedi Hasan, Sarfaraz Hussain and Mominul Hoque.

According to reports, the trio were caught red-handed selling blood to the families of needy patients at the hospital by members of The Humanity, an award-winning voluntary blood donation group.

Following the revelation, the members of the organization immediately handed them over to the police.

Police officials informed that they will follow all official procedures before filling a case.

Further investigation into the matter is underway.
