Guwahati: Man Killed After Being Hit by Train in Azara

Guwahati: In a tragic incident, a man was allegedly killed at a railway crossing in Azara of Guwahati on Sunday morning after being hit by a speeding train while he was trying to illegally cross the railway tracks.

The incident took place at the Kamakhya-Jogighopa railway line in Bongara.

The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.

The victim was reportedly crossing the railway track when the train approached, and the impact of the crash was so severe that the person died on the spot.

Following the incident, the Palashbari police rushed to the spot and retrieved the body for post-mortem.

However, the officials are investigating the case and are tying to identify the deceased.

It is believed that the person might have been a local resident.
