Assam: Locals Vandalize Police Vehicle After Tragic Road Accident in Nagaon

Guwahati: Situation became violent after three people died in a tragic road mishap on Monday night in Nagaon district of Assam.

The incident was reported from Chakarigaon in Nagaon.

Following the road accident, there was a great uproar there.

Upon being informed, the Nagaon Police and the Traffic Police arrived at the spot.

A few irate citizens attacked the police’s vehicles and got into a heated argument with them.

The traffic officer-in-charge (OC), Robin Phukan, also sustained severe injuries during the clash.

Information indicates that three persons who were riding on a two-wheeler hit a truck from behind last night.

Following the tragedy, the trio died on the spot.

The deceased have been identified as Bikram Das, Madhurjyo Das and Pankaj Das. The three deceased persons were residents of Dimoruguri of Nagaon.
