Child Drowns In River While Playing In Assam’s Karbi Anglong

Guwahati: In yet another tragic incident, a child drowned to death after accidently falling into the Jamuna River at Bakaliaghat in Karbi Anglong district of Assam.

The incident’s announcement has shocked people in the area and beyond.

The child has been identified as Rishabh Biswas.

Reportedly, Biswas has been missing since Monday, which has caused his family a tremendous deal of anguish.

 Since then, local law enforcement and volunteers have been trying nonstop to find the missing child.

However, their worst fears were confirmed when Rishabh’s body was discovered floating in the river today morning at around 9 am.

His family had been holding out hope for his safe return, so the discovery of his body was a heartbreaking blow.

The tragedy has once again brought attention to the risks posed by bodies of water, particularly during the monsoon season when water levels are high and currents are strong.
