Assam Shocker! Woman Severely Injured After Being Hacked By Father

Guwahati: In what is said to be a case of honour killing, a young woman sustained severe injuries after being fatally stabbed by her own father in Jorhat district of Assam.

The incident was reported from Cinnamara Railway colony.

As per reports, the accused father identified as Lal Bahadur allegedly hacked his daughter with a sharp-edge machete.

The injured young woman has been identified as Maya Kumari.

She was rushed immediately after the incident to the Jorhat Medical College Hospital (JMCH) for better treatment.

However, the exact reason of the incident is yet to ascertained.
