Dreaded Criminal Nabbed With Pistol, Live Rounds In Assam

Guwahati: One dreaded criminal has been arrested by Assam police on Tuesday night along with arms in Nagaon district.

The arrested criminal has been as Abul Basar.

As per reports, Basar was arrested from Rupohihat of the district.

Reportedly, Basar was involved in several criminal and anti-social activities in the area.

During a late-night police raid in the Krishnapur area of the sub division, Basar was taken into custody.

The police frisked him and recovered a handgun along with two live rounds from his possession.

It is believed that he may have used the pistol for a number of crimes he had already committed.

Meanwhile, a case has been filed against the arrestee under the pertinent laws.

An investigation to unearth further linkages is underway.
