Assam: LS Polls 2024 AGP Planning to Contest In Four Seats
Guwahati: The Assam Gana Parishad (AGP) intends to run candidates in four Assam constituencies in the next Lok Sabha elections, which are expected to take place next year.
According to reports, party MLA Ramendra Narayan Kalita informed his constituents of this on Friday.
He said they will make an effort to win at least one of the state’s 14 congressional districts.
Speaking to the media, Kalita said that he will ask the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to provide the AGP preferential seating.
AGP worker conferences have previously been held in Kaliabor, Mangaldoi, Tezpur, and Nagaon at the same time. This shows how serious the party is about the approaching elections.
Reports claim that the AGP’s decision to run for four seats might have a big impact on elections, especially in the districts where the party is well-represented.
Furthermore, the party’s decision to run for a seat following the Guwahati Executive’s Meeting is anticipated to clarify the AGP’s election plan.
