Assam: Teenagers Humiliated, Tonsured & Paraded On Street For Stealing In Nagaon

Guwahati: Two young boys, thought to be in their teens, were humiliated and paraded on the street by a mob of numerous men on suspicion of stealing something in Nagaon of Assam.

The incident was reported from Goria Kawoimari area in Juria town on Friday morning.

The two teenagers were reportedly held imprisoned till this morning after being allegedly caught stealing by locals at around 12 a.m. yesterday.

They allegedly endured captivity-related torture that included having their hair partially shaved, having black ink daubed on their faces, and being garlanded with shoes and tin boxes.

Visuals depict both of them being paraded around the area in public while the crowd surrounds and degrades them as they move.

Local police did not arrive at the scene at the filing of this report.
