Assam: NSUI State Prez Lodge FIR Against Singer Mrinal Kanti Medhi
Guwahati: National Students Union of India (NSUI) State President Krishanu Baruah filed a defamation lawsuit against Assam-based musician Mrinal Kanti Medhi on Tuesday for allegedly making divisive comments on the just-announced Karnataka election results.
The FIR has been lodged at the Teok police station in Jorhat district of Assam. Allegations have been made that Medhi made divisive comments on social media against the most recent election results in Karnataka and Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation.
Furthermore, claims have been made that Medhi attacked India’s first prime leader, Jawaharlal Nehru, on social media.
