Randeep Surjewala: New Karnataka Cabinet Will be Formed in 48-72 Hrs

Guwahati: Congress leader Randeep Surjewala claimed that the decision of future chief minister of Karnataka would be decided today or tomorrow, and a new government will be established within the following 72 hours.

Speaking to media persons on Wednesday, Kharge said, “Delibrations are currently underway by party president Mallikarjun Kharge. Whenever Congress makes a decision we will inform you. In the next 48-72 hours, we will have a new cabinet in Karnataka.”

The Congress leader added that discussions are still taking place and encouraged the media to avoid reporting on rumours or paying attention to false information.

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge held meetings with the two top contenders DK Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah in the national capital earlier on Tuesday, sources said.

Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday met with party leader Mallikarjun Kharge, who reviewed the report from the Congress central observers that was sent in on Monday.

Three central observers chosen by the All-India Congress Committee (AICC) in Karnataka came in Delhi on Monday in order to present their findings to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge regarding the appointment of the Karnataka chief minister,

The mission given to the observers Sushil Kumar Shinde, Deepak Bawaria, and Bhanwar Jitendra Singh was to chat with freshly elected Congress MLAs about the choice of the Congress Legislative Party (CLP) leader in Karnataka and then to deliver their findings to the party’s high command.
