26 People, Including Students Injured after School Bus turns in Sikkim
Guwahati: As many as 26 people including students sustained severe injuries after a school bus carrying them overturned in East Sikkim district on Thursday.
The incident took place at Singbel on the outskirts of Makha under East Sikkim district which is around 40km from the state capital Gangtok.
Following the incident, 23 students along with one driver and two staff members who was injured were immediately provided medical treatment.
It has come to light that 12 of them had severe injuries and were sent to the STNM Multi-speciality Hospital in Gangtok, while the others were brought to the Singtam Hospital, where they are currently being treated.
