Man In Assam Held For Raping, Impregnating Minor Daughter & Forcing Abortion

A 45-year-old man has been arrested by Assam police for allegedly raping, impregnating, and coercing his younger daughter into having an abortion. The incident took place in Dima Hasao district on Sunday.

According to reports, the accused person allegedly forced his minor daughter to become pregnant before taking her to Karimganj to have the child aborted.

Notably, the police also arrested a woman who allegedly helped perform the abortion.

Based on a complaint the victim filed last week, the arrest was made. Additionally, the accused has admitted to the crime.
A 14-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped and gang-raped by three people in Silchar, Assam’s Cachar district, last month in a gruesome incident.

The little girl was allegedly kidnapped by the three perpetrators from the National Highway near Silchar city and gang-raped there.

The group left her at Sonai Road after carrying out the horrible crime and then sped off. Later, a police patrol car found her straying on the road and drove her to the police station.

Sanjay Sutradhar, Miton Das, and Sourabh Debnath have been identified as the group.

The three suspects are the subject of a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, according to the police.
