Guwahati: 20-Year-Old Woman Found Murdered In Jalukbari; Rape Suspected

Guwahati: A 20-year-old woman was mysteriously found dead in the bathroom of her home in the Jalukbari area of Guwahati on Wednesday night.

The woman was allegedly raped, killed and then placed inside the bathroom of her home in the Katia Dalang locality of Jalukbari.

Given the seriousness of the crime, the woman’s identity has been withheld.

Although it’s possible that she passed away naturally, sources claim that the bathroom door was locked from the outside, suggesting that someone else was involved in her alleged homicide.

Soon later, a police team arrived at the crime scene and recovered the body for post-mortem.

“As per preliminary investigations, this is a case of murder and an investigation into the matter has been initiated,” a senior police official said.

A team from the Assam police’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID) also arrived at the spot and assessed the situation.
