Prime Accused’s Accomplice Sent to Police Custody In Jonali Nath Murder Case
Guwahati: The primary suspect’s accomplice in the murder of BJP politician Jonali Nath was given a five-day police detention sentence on Sunday.
The conspirator, Ajibur Rahman, was brought before a special court today, where the police asked for ten days of custody, but the court remanded him for five.
The police conducted search operations in the Goalpara district as part of their investigations into the leader’s death case earlier today.
Search efforts were carried out in Matia in the Goalpara district. According to reports, Ajibur Rahman, the second individual detained for suspected involvement in the murder case, was escorted by the police to Matia for the procedures. Sources claimed that the cops also searched Ajibur’s home.
The remains of Jonali Nath’s bag, which Ajibur’s wife had set on fire, came to light during a search of the accomplice’s home. The remains were gathered by the police as proof.
It has been proven that Hasanur Islam, the main culprit, paid Ajibur Rs. 50,000 to assist him in committing the crime. He paid him Rs. 24,000 for killing Jonali Nath, leaving him with Rs. 26,000 in unpaid debt.
