Majuli Bound Ferry Goes Missing In Assam’s Brahmaputra
Guwahati: An incident that occurred on Monday included a ferry called MV Lohit that vanished while travelling to Majuli in Assam’s Brahmaputra River.
Reports claim that the ferry was heading towards Kamalabari, Majuli from Nimati Ghat in Jorhat.
The boat, which was reported to have left Nimati Ghat at 1.30 pm with 134 passengers and 32 bikes, is believed to have vanished in the thick fog.
As time goes by, worries about the safety of everyone on board the ferry increase. The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) launched an immediate search and rescue mission, leaving Kamalabari.
Efforts are being made to find the missing ferry and its passengers, as authorities step up their rescue effort,
