Governor of Sikkim Engages with Delhi University Students on Educational Tour
Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya of Sikkim recently hosted an interactive session with students from the Department of Geography at Indraprastha College for Women, Delhi University, during their educational tour in Sikkim.
Welcomed by the Principal of IP College for Women, Poonam Kumariya, Governor Acharya emphasized the pivotal role of women in society and their contribution to national progress.
During his address, the Governor encouraged the students to delve into research on natural disasters to aid in prediction and public awareness efforts. He further urged them to embrace innovation as a catalyst for India’s development, setting a target for a developed India by 2047.
Drawing inspiration from Sikkim’s resilience in the face of recent adversities, Governor Acharya presented it as a model for the students to follow in their academic pursuits.
The session featured insightful discussions by the students along with a musical performance, fostering an enriching exchange of ideas. Professor Roshni Devi of IP College extended gratitude on behalf of the institution, marking the conclusion of the event.
