M’laya: Unknown Miscreants Stone Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council MDC’s House in Ri-Bhoi District

Unknown miscreants launched a stone-pelting attack on the residence of Magdalene S Mawlong, the MDC of Umsning Constituency in the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC), located in Ladsharai, Ri-Bhoi District, on Wednesday afternoon.

The incident, perceived as pre-planned, unfolded when a group of unidentified individuals waited until afternoon to initiate the assault on the MDC’s house. Fortunately, Magdalene S Mawlong was not present at home during the attack, according to sources.

Upon receiving reports, the Umiam Police Station promptly responded to the scene and discovered several stones strewn across the compound of the MDC’s residence.

An ongoing police investigation aims to identify and apprehend the perpetrators behind this disturbing incident.
