Assam CM Criticizes Congress, Advocates for Peaceful and Progressive Assam Ahead of Elections
During an election campaign rally in Chabua, Dibrugarh district, the Chief Minister of Assam criticized the Congress party while advocating for a peaceful and progressive Assam ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
Addressing the crowd, the CM highlighted a perceived disconnect between the Congress leadership and the cultural ethos of Assam, citing the absence of any Prime Minister from the Congress party wearing the Assamese Gamusa in Delhi or visiting Assam multiple times.
Expressing concerns about the impact of strikes on Assam’s development, the CM firmly stated, “we can’t destroy Assam by holding strikes.”
Questioning the candidacy of Lurinjyoti Gogoi, the CM criticized Gogoi’s opportunism in political maneuvering, stating, “Lurinjyoti Gogoi is contesting elections sitting on the chest of the Congress party.”
