Congress MP Candidate Rakibul Hussain Urges Support for Hafiz Rashid Choudhary in Karimganj Rally

During an election rally held in Karimganj, Congress MP Candidate Rakibul Hussain delivered a passionate address in support of party candidate Hafiz Rashid Choudhary, highlighting the latter’s role as a unifying force between Barak and Brahmaputra.

Hussain raised concerns about the developmental efforts of the BJP, contrasting them with the contributions of Moinul Haque Chowdhury in Barak Valley. He criticized the delimitation process, alleging infringement upon the political rights of Hindus and Muslims in Karimganj.

Expressing dissatisfaction with the BJP’s performance, Hussain urged voters to back Hafiz Rashid Chowdhury in the impending by-election. He announced plans to challenge the MLA’s post through legal channels and criticized Himanta Biswa Sarma’s involvement in the electoral process.

Hussain emphasized the significance of the Dhubri constituency, predicting dire consequences for the AIUDF party and Himanta Biswa Sarma in the event of Badruddin Ajmal’s defeat. He accused Sarma of neglecting Bengali representation in his cabinet, branding him an adversary of Bengali Hindus and casting doubt on the efficacy of candidates nominated by him.

Drawing attention to instances where victories of Congress candidates led to setbacks for Himanta Biswa Sarma, Hussain cautioned voters against complacency, stressing the importance of each vote in shaping the future. He condemned the defection of individuals associated with the BJP from Congress ranks, citing Siddiq Ahmad and Kamalaksha De Purkayastha as examples.

In conclusion, Rakibul Hussain’s impassioned rhetoric underscored the significance of the upcoming election, urging voters to consider the broader implications of their choices and rally support for the Congress candidate amidst a charged political atmosphere.
