Tragedy Strikes Borbila Village: Toddler Dies After Falling Into Pond

Borbila village in Mankachar witnessed a heart-wrenching incident as one-year-old Arshad Ali, son of Mashidul Islam, tragically lost his life after falling into a pond on Sunday evening. Despite the family’s immediate efforts to rush the child to Hatsingimari district hospital, their hopes were dashed as doctors pronounced him brought dead upon arrival.

In response to the devastating turn of events, authorities sprang into action. Kalapani police, accompanied by a magistrate, conducted a preliminary inquiry at the hospital. Following this, the child’s body was transferred to Dhubri in the early hours of the following day for post-mortem examination.
