Joint Operation Yields Successful Seizure of Illicit Goods in Mizoram

The Custom Preventive Force and the Champhai Battalion of the Assam Rifles collaborated in a joint operation on April 24 in Mizoram, resulting in a significant breakthrough.

During the operation conducted at Champhaiah Tlangsam, three individuals involved in the transportation of a substantial quantity of dried areca nuts (betel nuts) were apprehended. The seized areca nuts, valued at approximately Rs. 1.15 crores, were confiscated as evidence.

Following the successful operation, the apprehended individuals and the seized contraband were handed over to the Custom Preventive Force for further investigation and necessary legal action.

This collaborative effort between the Custom Preventive Force and Assam Rifles underscores their commitment to combatting illicit activities and maintaining law and order in the region. Such proactive measures play a vital role in curbing illegal trade and preserving the integrity of security operations.
